Michael Blackwell runs the Dublin branch and is the most active individual in his community of anyone I've ever met. Always willing to step up and host community events, this library is one of the busiest branches in central Ohio and is due in large part to the welcome and loving nature in which Michael cares for the facility.

I miss the Library...

Columbus, you don't realize how good you have it! I hope Central Ohio continue to support the Columbus Metropolitan Library. Another of the jewels of Columbus - vast collection, convenient, beautiful art in the downtown location. We miss the options the library offered us when we lived there.

Love the symphony. Variety, great musicians. Love love the Picnic with the Pops! It is a good way to expose the symphony to people who would not otherwise go to the traditional venues. The Patriotic Pops with the fireworks is always good. The Ohio State Marching Band is always a sellout. I wish they have Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (or an alternate swing band) every year - that was a fun show. Of course The Nutcracker Suite is always a hit - - try to go to the family event before the show. We went one year, and it was fun meeting the cast, seeing the props, the kids trying on costumes, crafts and art activities. The symphony provides opportunities for kids to be exposed to good music. And any good city needs to support its local symphony.
